TeX is a high-quality, popular means of typesetting complex mathematical formulas. It is popular in mathematics, computer science, economics, engineering, physics, statistics and quantitative psychology.

The TeXiT app will not be very useful to you if you do not "speak" TeX. There are, however, resources on the internet to help you. Search for the LaTeX project, which provides a lot of help with the TeX system. LaTeX itself goes way beyond mathematical formulas so there will be more information there than you need.

The TeXiT app receives a TeX string representation of a formula and sends it to GoogleCharts. The resultant png image is displayed. A copy button can then be used to put a copy of the image and the http string used to create it into the clipboard.

Version 1.01 allows you to specify the height and width of the resulting image. If either height or width is not filled in, it will be automatically filled in with the other. If neither is filled in the image will be the "default" size for that formula.

Version 1.02 (submitted but not available) adds QR Codes, a Save To Photos button, and Help text. QR Codes are often used to hold URLs, and can be seen in magazines, in applications and even on billboards. TeXiT will take any text as input to QR Codes.

N O T E: An internet connection is required to run TeXiT.
